Racism Routed Page 1 Intro
After all these centuries living under the yoke and the curse of racism who’d have thought that structural racism is terminated by the Baha’i principle of a universal auxiliary language, sadly the principle most sidelined by Baha’u’llah’s followers! Please bear in mind that an auxiliary language usurps no tribal or national tongue.
Wilberforce, Queen Victoria, Abraham Lincoln, Reverend King and Martha Root, have one and all done their bit well and truly, but as ever, it's apathy or the ensuing push back and undermining that atavistically take us back, back, back, Jim Crow-like, almost to a slave block mentality — most sadly! Nothing short of a transformation of society and a revolutionary rethink regarding the racist (and sexist!) languages of the slave traders is called for! That the victims’ most articulate champions — whether as intellectuals advocating in civil society, as academics in respected institutions, or among religionists and even in the African American and first nations’ communities now that their cultures and languages have largely been taken from them — one and all deploy, almost exclusively, those demeaned imperial languages instrumental in enslaving and disenfranchising their forbears strikes the two million strong diaspora of Esperantists as a grotesquely depressing and easily avoidable peculiarity

In brief, for the global village, as distinct from the USA alone, racism is such a disgustingly destructive blight corrupting the minds of the impressionable that society totters on the brink of civil war. Love of course is the only solution, but a catalyst, a circuit breaker, is urgently needed for uniting humankind: “Unless the unity of language is realized, the oneness of the human world cannot be EFFECTIVELY organized and established; because the function of language is to portray the mysteries and secrets of human hearts. The heart is like a box and language is the key. We can open the box only by using the key, and observe the gems it contains.”
Sir Abdul Baha Abbas KBE, (1844-1921) Washington DC, 1912.
Beneficiaries of the world’s most ‘successful’ colonial language impact minimally the racist status quo in Australia, Britain, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, USA etc while de facto indifferent to the Baha’i principle of an auxiliary international language (whatever auxlang is eventually selected by a fully representative United Nations) or while down-playing advantages inherited as privileged native speakers of English, whose culture and history in the last three centuries are ruined by racist rants and cruel crimes in a continuum that props up structuralized racism so abhorred by all seekers of justice!
